PUMP is a weight-based group-exercise program. The classes are performed to music using free weights and an aerobic step. All muscle groups are worked via series of intense and isolation-based exercises, resulting in a full body workout.
PUMP builds lean muscle that stays even after you may stop for some time. Endurance strength training with "light" or "medium" weights builds muscle that allows the individual to get back into things when our lives often keep us away from the gym for a period of time. Of course consistency is essential to any successful health and fitness goals but once you have built this muscle foundation, keeping those muscles is much easier when you start with endurance resistance training.
